Adjunct Faculty, Theater

College of DuPage is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach theater courses. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach theater courses, including acting, improvisation, appreciation, dance theater, and technical theater.
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
  • Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in the content area or a Master's degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate credit in the discipline of instruction.
  • Previous experience teaching theater courses, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • AEA Experienced Stage Manager preferred.

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology, including a home computer with the ability to teach online, is required. These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments. A pre-employment background check at the College's expense is required.
