This position requires a proactive individual who will:
- Lead the definition and implementation of system security requirements, including authorization boundaries and data classification.
- Design and execute system security frameworks utilizing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), government-off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open-source technologies within a Linux RedHat context.
- Conduct security assessments using industry-standard automated vulnerability scanning tools, such as Tenable Nessus and SCAP.
- Apply DEVSECOPS principles while collaborating with cross-domain teams, managing conflicts, and effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 9-12 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active security clearance and certifications such as CSWF II (Linux), CompTIA Security +, and a Privileged Access Agreement (PAA).
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Engineer, or Architect certification.
- Over 7 years of experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux or CoreOS, including managing container platforms and application development.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing Kubernetes-based storage solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and security compliance automation.
- Familiarity with DoD security implementations, including STIG, and tools like HBSS & ACAS.
- A background in Agile development methodologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
