About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RedHat Linux administrator to join our team at Metronome LLC. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Linux systems, including RedHat Enterprise Linux, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including DISA STIGs, POA&Ms, and ATO processes.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators and Cyber Security resources to ensure the security posture of our systems.
  • Participate in security control assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Deploy and manage Linux VMs and virtual appliances, including patching and hardening.
  • Implement automation for VM deployments and manage user accounts.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, and interface with other teams to resolve issues.
  • Apply hardening techniques and RHEL STIGs to maintain a strong security posture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Linux administrator, with a focus on RedHat Enterprise Linux.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn from senior administrators and collaborate with Cyber Security resources.
  • Experience with certificates, VM, volume, and disk encryption, and hybrid hosting environments.
  • Knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery procedures, and good understanding of permissions and user management.
  • Basic understanding of VLANs and networks, and experience with HCI, including Microsoft HCI, Nutanix, and VSAN/VX Rail.
  • ACAS experience and ability to deploy RHEL on Hyper-V and/or Azure Stack HCI.
