Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Colorist Assistant to join our team at Madison Reed Hair Color Bar. As a Colorist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting our licensed colorists in delivering top-notch services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Licensed Colorists: Assist licensed colorists in providing seamless guest experiences, from arrival to departure, and support them in delivering high-quality services.
  • Develop Behind-the-Chair Skills: Develop and master color theory and behind-the-chair application skills to grow your career within Madison Reed.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and drive revenue growth through increasing average service tickets, selling unlimited roots memberships, and promoting home hair care products.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and company asset security.
  • Adhere to Protocols: Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Active Cosmetology License: Possess an active cosmetology license in the state where you are applying.
  • Customer Service Experience: Have entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales, with a preference for salon or beauty industry experience.
  • Effective Communication: Possess effective communication, problem-solving, and people skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
  • Technical Skills: Be comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, team members will regularly stand, walk for four plus consecutive hours; repetitive and regular bending and twisting at the waist; manipulating fingers and hands, bend and reach wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms or move up to ten pounds. May occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, pull up to ten pounds. Additionally, team members will communicate regularly with guests via ongoing conversations and consultations.
