Responsibilities:

  • Review project requirements, specifications, and drawings to assess scope and client needs
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and measurements for precise information gathering
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure clarity and address any questions
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates considering materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses
  • Analyze project risks, issues, and contingencies for accurate estimations
  • Present estimates to clients, outlining scope, costs, and considerations
  • Work with procurement and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
  • Maintain thorough records of estimating activities

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the glassing industry
  • Extensive knowledge of glassing projects and installation techniques
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications effectively
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Capable of working independently under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with Storefronts, custom glass, doors, windows, and railings
  • Experience with projects ranging from $250k-$5 million
  • Knowledge of PartnerPak and Bluebeam is a plus
