Job Summary

Rising Star Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our waste management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Load and Unload Waste: Assist in loading and unloading waste from vehicles, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
  • Assist Drivers: Provide support to drivers by directing them from the ground and riding on the vehicle to assist with customer service.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate packing mechanisms and various levers and handles to activate the lifting and loading mechanism.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip, and spray and clean the hopper and truck as needed.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety standards and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Communicate Effectively: Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor Waste: Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste and take corrective action as needed.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding setting and exposure to working in all-weather elements.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and good time management skills.
