Job Title: Specialty Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Veterinary Technician to join our team at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Pasadena. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary technology, preferably in an ER/Specialty setting. They will be responsible for assisting with advanced procedures, interpreting ECG parameters, and providing medical support to our patients. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with advanced procedures, including neurological evaluations and surgical prep/monitoring
  • Interpret ECG parameters and identify common abnormalities
  • Calculate and set up continuous rate infusions
  • Understand and identify bradycardic and tachycardic arrhythmias
  • Perform routine intravenous inductions and intubate anesthetized patients safely
  • Assist with and perform basic and advanced CPR
  • Correctly and safely restrain animals
  • Familiarity with common medications used within the department
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of previous veterinary technician experience, preferably in an ER/Specialty setting
  • RVT license preferred
  • Willingness to learn and grow with our team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
