Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians during various procedures and diagnostics, including endoscopic procedures
- Monitor the health of all patients throughout the day
- Provide medical information to clients and answer questions as needed
- Provide training and direction to additional support staff as needed
- Ensure safe, effective, and efficient medical processes from check-in to discharge
- Assist with pre-surgical medical screenings, patient induction, surgical preparation, and anesthesia monitoring
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably within ER/Specialty
- RVT license preferred
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Pasadena is a leading provider of 24/7 ER and specialty care to the surrounding communities. Our hospital features a busy and varied caseload with a high number of both referrals and emergency cases. We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including a complete laboratory, monitoring devices, digital radiography, color flow Doppler ultrasound, OEC 9800 & 9900 fluoroscopy, 64 slice helical CT, and 1.5T MRI. Our hospital is fully equipped with Pulmonetics or Maquet Servo critical care ventilators and complete endoscopic, laparoscopic, and thoracoscopic instrumentation.
