Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist patients with daily activities including hygiene, mobility, hydration, and nutritional needs.
- Provide routine treatments while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients.
- Maintain the safety and security of patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Respect patient privacy and uphold their rights and confidentiality.
- Follow standard precautions, including proper hand hygiene between patient interactions.
- Support the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for patients.
- Accurately record vital signs and document pertinent patient information in accordance with Orlando Health policies.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and safety concerns.
- Participate in patient handoff reports and conduct purposeful rounding.
- Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized nursing unit and respond to incoming calls and requests.
- Transport items and deliver necessary supplies throughout the facility.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant or completion of a recognized nursing assistant program.
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
