Patient Services Specialist II

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist II to join our Primary Care team in St. Cloud, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, registration, and scheduling support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers, answering phone lines and triaging calls as needed.
- Collect, maintain, and ensure accuracy of patient information through the use of standard business practices.
- Coordinate all necessary paperwork for registration, scheduling, and appointment, including collecting and verifying patient insurance information.
- Manage patient accounts, including collecting co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and balances.
- Schedule office visits, manage no-show and cancellation processes, and confirm appointments with patients and guardians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, scanning and filing paperwork as needed.
- Coordinate the release of medical records and process incoming and outgoing requests.
- Ensure accurate coding information on billing documents.
- High School Diploma required.
- Specialized training or degree preferred.
- Minimum of one to three years' experience in customer service, healthcare, or medical office settings preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel to other primary care locations as needed for coverage.
