The Metal Conditioner is responsible for preparing metal components for further finishing by grinding, sanding, and polishing using a variety of equipment and techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Grind, sand, and polish metal components to meet specifications
- Prepare component surfaces for further finishing
- Inspect components for flaws or cracks
- Correct defects and mark cracks and splits for repair
- Operate equipment such as polishers, sanders, and sandblasting machines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year experience in a production environment preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds
The Metal Conditioner will work in a manufacturing warehouse environment with moderate ambient conditions and moderate noise levels. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
