Job Title: Operational Risk Officer

Join Citigroup Inc. as an Operational Risk Officer and contribute to the strategic direction of the U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) In-Business Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Operational Loss Oversight team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology, and tools to minimize losses from internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Independently assess risks to identify root causes and recommend ways to measure and monitor risk manifestations.
  • Coordinate with USPB Senior Operational Risk Managers, operational risk subject matter experts, business process owners, and second-line of defense Operational Risk Management to ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Operational Risk events and work closely with Independent Risk Managers, Finance, Accounting, GRR, and 1st Line of Defense to identify and manage Operational Risk events.
  • Monitor goals and performance through risk and relationship oversight of the extended supply chain.
  • Collaborate to resolve issues within the terms of the contract and develop and maintain relationships across the business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, and applying sound ethical judgment.
Qualifications:
  • Operational Risk Management experience navigating and networking across an enterprise utilizing internal and external resources.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 Products (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Loss Capture System knowledge is desirable.
  • Familiarity with General Ledger concepts.
  • Able to communicate with senior management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups.

Bachelor's/University degree.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$107,120.00 - $160,680.00.
