Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs and services on company-owned and rental equipment. You will work closely with our Fleet Manager and other team members to ensure the efficient operation of our equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
- Perform preventative maintenance on company-owned and rental fleet
- Repair and troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, final drives, hydraulic components, and electrical systems
- Write service reports and prepare required documentation
- Communicate effectively with equipment manager and field managers
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Five plus years of experience with Foundation Drill rigs, crawler cranes, and pile driving equipment
- Valid Driver's License (Class A or Class B, with Air Brake endorsement)
- Preferred knowledge of basic diesel technology, electronics, transmissions, and hydraulics
- Ability to maintain a tool inventory and perform welding tasks
- Knowledge of Bauer, Liebherr, and Casagrande drill rigs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
The Field Mechanic will work in a variety of environments, including job sites, warehouses, and repair shops. The position requires the ability to work in inclement weather conditions and to lift, carry, and push/pull equipment and tools.
