About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Access Coordinator to join our team at Abbott House. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients have access to necessary healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, including schools and community-based services
  • Refer children for needed services and assist in provider selection
  • Facilitate single case agreements for out-of-network placements
  • Interact with clinical and billing staff
  • Assist with consent and/or confidentiality issues
  • Obtain authorizations from all MCO
  • Update AccuMedic (EHR) system with authorization information
  • Maintain eligibility for public or private health insurance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a medical or social services office environment
  • Knowledge and use of computers
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records a plus
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills
  • Familiarity with NYS Child Welfare protocols
  • Organizational and communication skills

Salary Range: $35,000 - $38,000 per year, depending on experience.
