Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician II

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join our team at our Sturgis, MI location. As a key member of our Abbott Nutrition division, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing manufacturing and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair, and service manufacturing and facility systems, including mechanical and building systems.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment, or parts.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair and ensure compliance with current sanitation and GMP requirements.
  • Maintain current status on all required training and adhere to Abbott's compliance standards, including FDA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and mechanical and spatial aptitude.
  • Good mathematical and writing skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine the cause of improper machine operation and make necessary adjustments and repairs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Diploma.
  • 2+ years' experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic.
  • Two-year mechanical technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Welding Certification from an area college or trade school.
  • Predictive Maintenance experience/training.
