Job Summary

LTi Printing, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pressroom Supervisor to lead our Heidelberg XL-106 press crew. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in press operation, maintenance, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Heidelberg XL-106 press to produce high-quality folding carton products and commercial print.
  • Ensure proper plates are loaded on press for next job to print.
  • Ink the press, load paper, and adjust the press to the paper size and white point while confirming the proper material for each job with the Production Manager.
  • Assist the Second Man as necessary with any issues to ensure efficiency during production.
  • Monitor L*a*b*'s, delta E, delta E possible, dot gains, etc., on a job-by-job basis using Heidelberg's In-Press or Axis color management software tools.
  • Continually monitor press sheets with frequent time stamp pulls at the console to monitor print quality.
  • Accurately log in and out of jobs on the press computer.
  • Accurately record all job functions in shop floor data collection in real-time on press.
  • Monitor chemistry, clean water tanks as necessary, and follow daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual prescribed Heidelberg maintenance guidelines.
  • Perform or assist in preventive maintenance or repairs and work with Heidelberg technicians or LTi's Maintenance in maintenance and repairs.
  • Complete quality control procedures and required QA documents.
  • Provide direction, training, and guidance to junior crew members.
  • Follow all company MIOSHA safety regulations and encourage safe work habits from other crew members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous press operator experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
  • Ability to maintain good attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Physical Requirements:

Physical ability and stamina sufficient to maintain continuous physical effort throughout shift, including frequent lifting, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and twisting. Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform manual labor for extended periods of time. Manual labor is defined as exerting force sufficient to lift up to 50 lbs.
