Job Title: Registered Nurse

At Iredell Memorial Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Prescribe nursing care and delegate tasks to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Coordinate patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide exceptional care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of clinical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers.
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation.
Essential Physical Requirements:

The Registered Nurse must possess a full range of body motion to perform the essential duties of the job, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.

The Registered Nurse must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for thoroughly obtaining patient information, assessing the patient for surgery, and identifying any problems that could result in surgery cancellation or need for immediate intervention.

The Registered Nurse will also be responsible for ensuring that all patient charts for the next day have diagnostic test results in the appropriate place and all other necessary papers are present.

The Registered Nurse will reassess the patient the day of surgery for changes that could potentially result in surgery cancellation.

The Registered Nurse will complete post-procedural/surgical implementation of discharge orders within a specific time frame.

The Registered Nurse will give individualized discharge instructions according to JCAHO and IMH policies.
