Job Summary:

As a Global Supply Chain Coordinator at Expeditors International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Air and Ocean Import Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the smooth and timely process flow regarding air and ocean import freight.
  • Accurately and timely enter data into the operational system.
  • Track and trace all ocean import files and report status/updates internally and to customers.
  • Ensure ocean import documents are timely sent to customers.
  • Deliver customer freight on time and, if necessary, obtain customs clearance accurately and promptly.
  • Work from and understand the customized air and ocean import workflow & dashboard on a daily basis.
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly billing for customers and vendors accurately and on time.
  • Interact proactively with customers to arrange freight/shipments that meet their requirements and service standards.
  • Maintain good understanding, communication, and relationships with airlines, shipping lines, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations/standards at all times, adhering to government regulations.
  • Proactively identify best practices to improve operational processes, making them more effective, efficient, and productive.
  • Update all customers' Standard Operating Procedures and ensure they are in place and updated in the Desk Level Standard Operational Process Data base (DLSOPs).
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with company procedures/requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emails from customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal networks.
  • Escalate issues to management as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Be a team player with the ability to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate to achieve positive results.
  • Be proactive and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Have excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Hazardous Materials Certification is preferred.
