We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our healthcare team in Orange County, California.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the planning, organization, and delivery of medical services at our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). They will be responsible for direct and indirect clinical supervision of healthcare providers, working closely with them on complex medical care issues. The Medical Director will establish and maintain protocols for continuity of care, fostering a patient-centered environment that enhances trust and enables providers to be effective advocates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain direct responsibility for all medical providers hired, contracted, or volunteered.
  • Provide oversight of employed and volunteer mid-level providers, ensuring compliance with State of California laws and regulations.
  • Deliver ongoing training for employed mid-level providers to enhance their effectiveness and knowledge base.
  • Maintain all Physician Licenses, DEA License, CPR, and NPI Number, submitting proof annually.
  • Chair the QA/QI Committee, identifying clinical, procedural, and financial quality assurance issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with the Pharmacy to ensure adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints regarding clinical care, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee the formulation and periodic review of policies and procedures on all aspects of clinical care.

  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical management and quality improvement.
  • Show ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders.
  • Meet the requirements for a Medical Director role in California.

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
