We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Kennel Attendant to join our team at Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic and Paws Pet Resort in Castle Rock, CO.
Responsibilities:- Provide daily care, feeding, and exercise of boarding and hospitalized pets
- Monitor pets' status, reporting any signs of stress or changes in eating or elimination habits to technicians and veterinarians
- Document accurate records and complete boarding forms and cage cards
- Perform cleaning and disinfection tasks, including kennel areas, food and water bowls, and litter boxes
- Administer medications and provide medical care as needed
- Supervise animals in the yard and provide 'TLC' play times or walks for clients
- Check-in and check-out animals for boarding, communicating with owners and recording information on boarding forms
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds
- Endurance to sit, stand, and walk on hard floor surfaces for extended periods
- Confidence around pets and ability to work in noisy conditions
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills
