Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled TIG/MIG welder/fabricator to join our team at Dorman Products. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver innovative, race-tested products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum of one year of TIG welding experience for both steel and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding specifications.
  • Must be able to tack, distribute heat evenly with a clean bead.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment weld test.
  • Operate press brake, CNC plasma, and tube bender.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry standards.
  • Produce metal fabricated parts to print specifications using allotted standard times and processes.
  • Knowledge of tube bending software and tube welding techniques is preferred.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements

Qualified candidates will be driven, detail-oriented, and have proven knowledge of operating fabrication equipment. To be successful, you must be able to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, problem-solve, and be a self-starter. Blueprint reading skills are required. Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of fabricating and manufacturing experience preferred. Tube bending and fitting skills are needed. The ability to run various fabrication machine equipment is a plus.
