Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Store Manager to lead the establishment and daily management of a new store dedicated to outdoor living products. The Store Manager will be instrumental in setting up the store, guiding the team, and enhancing sales while ensuring exceptional customer service and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall operations of the store, including financial performance, merchandising standards, compliance, safety, and workforce management.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as IT, HR, Marketing, and Operations to implement the company's business strategy effectively.
  • Foster a positive store culture that aligns with the company's mission and values, ensuring employee engagement and motivation.
  • Identify and address talent needs, recruit and develop team members, and drive the execution of sales and service strategies.
  • Analyze store performance data to inform strategies and improve customer service.
  • Implement and monitor safety and security measures to protect store assets.
  • Explore opportunities for business growth and establish new partnerships.
  • Guide staff development through feedback and training.
  • Manage budgetary plans and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management practices and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement among staff.
  • Support marketing initiatives and local promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Assistant Store Manager or equivalent role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of team success.
  • Ability to set and achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Financial acumen with budgeting experience.
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with external partners.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent communication with team members and customers.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in a retail store setting, with time spent both indoors and outdoors. The role may involve occasional travel for meetings or training purposes.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position, typically requiring 50+ hours per week, aligned with store operating hours.
