Job Description

The Residential Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our residential programs at Impact Community Services. This position is responsible for supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) as they provide support within the home setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in sponsor residential programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage DSPs in the residential setting to ensure they have a competent knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist with providing training to all DSPs.
  • Conduct regular visits to DSPs' homes and complete quality assurance checklists as scheduled.
  • Monitor programs and make suggestions to the team as needed.
  • Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and quarterly reviews are followed.
  • Investigate individual and staff incidents and complete required documentation to ensure compliance with individuals' human rights.
  • Participate in discharge planning and monitor behavioral management.
  • Be available on-call for any situation that may occur at Impact Community Services, including crisis emergencies, employee sickness, vacations, terminations, and emergency preparedness objectives.
  • Assist with ensuring that individuals receiving services and employees understand the process of exercising their rights and resolving complaints regarding services.
  • In conjunction with the Service and Program Director, review all activities and documentation to ensure they are completed in an effective, ethical, and timely manner. Meet with individuals receiving services and/or authorized representatives to ensure a thorough understanding of Impact Community Services' programs and services. Provide training, guidance, and support in developing ISPs, Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs), Discharge Plans, and structured programs of care.

Requirements:

  • Strong supervision skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, community, and staff.
  • Ability to analyze findings, identify problems, and formulate solutions.
  • Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and related physical, health, and behavioral concerns.
  • Caring and positive attitude.
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and knowledge of documentation tools.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Successful completion of training/certification in CPR, first aid, behavior management, and medication administration.
