Job Overview

The Residential Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our residential programs at Impact Community Services. This position requires a unique blend of leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and provide support to individuals in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise DSPs to ensure they possess a thorough understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with DSPs to provide comprehensive training and support.
  • Conduct regular home visits and quality assurance checklists to ensure compliance with individual service plans and quarterly reviews.
  • Monitor programs and provide suggestions for improvement as needed.
  • Investigate incidents and complete required documentation to ensure compliance with human rights.
  • Participate in discharge planning and behavioral management.
  • Provide on-call support for crisis situations, employee absences, and other emergencies.
  • Assist with ensuring individuals and employees understand their rights and resolve complaints regarding services.
  • Collaborate with the Service and Program Director to review activities and documentation, provide training and support, and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs.

Requirements:

  • Strong supervision and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and related physical, health, and behavioral concerns.
  • Caring and positive attitude.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Successful completion of training/certification in CPR, first aid, behavior management, and medication administration.
