Job Overview

Mullins Mechanical & Welding is seeking a highly skilled Site Safety Specialist to join our team in Jackson, MS. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that ensures a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop and implement site-specific safety plans
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors on safety procedures and protocols
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain safety metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in construction safety coordination
  • OSHA 30 hour (1926 Construction) certification required
  • Current First Aid / CPR certification required
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in a Safety related discipline preferred
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
