  • Ensure all required documentation for patient care is completed accurately.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to verify authorizations and coverage.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain essential information for patient treatment (prescriptions, office notes, multidisciplinary plans).
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients and staff regarding therapy services and programming.
  • Utilize computer systems for scheduling, registrations, and electronic medical records.
  • Proficiently handle phone, fax, and scanning tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Experience in office and computer operations is essential.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six months of hire and every five years thereafter.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter.
  • Possess strong computer skills and the ability to learn various software programs, including billing systems, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone, particularly when dealing with sensitive health information.
  • Able to navigate multiple insurance requirements and processes.
  • Effectively admit patients into the system, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the process.
  • Understand relevant healthcare topics related to patient care and documentation, providing basic education to patients as needed.
  • Manage competing tasks and interruptions effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
