We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pipeline Operator to join our team at Plains All American Pipeline. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our pipeline assets and facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain pipeline assets and facilities, including pipelines, tanks, pumping stations, and gathering facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, and other equipment to ensure proper operation and identify potential issues.
- Accurately measure and report the quality and quantity of crude oil and refined products.
- Perform monthly DOT tankage inspections and maintain associated records.
- Ensure the security of our facilities and pipeline assets by inspecting perimeter fencing, locks, and other security measures.
- Communicate effectively with the Pipeline Control Center and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform other pipeline-related tasks and projects as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pipeline operations or a related field.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Operator qualifications as deemed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Completion of Haz-Mat training and safety programs.
- Minimum D.O.T. requirements.
