Overview:
As a Radiology Technologist, you will proficiently operate in multiple imaging modalities within a healthcare facility.

This role encompasses MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Nuclear Medicine, PACS, and Mammography, ensuring the delivery of precise diagnostic examinations and potential interventional procedures.

Your responsibilities will include executing a range of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment, as well as being accountable for specific areas or procedures as designated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Exhibit proficiency in various diagnostic procedures across multiple modalities.
  • After completing procedures, ensure the accurate programming of the computer system to confirm the completion of exams and proper storage of all scan data.
  • Effectively coordinate and prioritize tasks throughout the workday to maintain high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Accurately code and enter all charges into the billing system.
  • Demonstrate competence with all age groups to guarantee the successful completion of studies.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards set forth by regulatory agencies and the healthcare facility.
  • Conduct all duties in a manner that safeguards patient confidentiality and refrains from disclosing any sensitive information.
  • Embrace and exemplify the core values of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A.

Education/Skills: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized institution is required. ARRT, RT (R), or other relevant certifications are necessary based on the scope of practice.

Must be registered or eligible for registration in a secondary modality and fulfill the registration requirements within two years of performing in that modality.

B.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical or hospital environment is preferred. Three (3) years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is highly desirable.

C.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Current state licensure is required, along with a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
