Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at DNA Comprehensive Therapy Services LLC. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors, and provide them with information about our services and policies.
  • Schedule appointments and direct walk-in patients and emergencies according to established protocols.
  • Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Register patients, collect documentation, and generate required documents.
  • Verify patient coverage and compute charges to be paid by the patient.
  • Collect deposits or co-pays/deductibles and issue cash receipts.
  • Inform patients of their outstanding balance and collect payment.
  • Work closely with providers and medical assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting time.
  • Call and remind patients of their appointments.
  • Follow up on no-show patients daily.
  • Communicate patient problems or complaints to the clinic manager or designee.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of medical experience in a similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, move, and/or carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, phones, and ability to type at least 35 wpm.
  • Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Ability to relate to patients and the public, regardless of ethnic, religious, or economic status.
