Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapy services to students with special needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to students with special needs
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assess and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and provide guidance and support as necessary
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • One year of prior professional experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR certification if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and healthcare professionals
