About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems and applications that impact our digital and online platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems and applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that code meets our high standards for quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our software development processes and tools.
  • Work closely with our product owners and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver software solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure that our software systems are deployed and operated efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of our software engineering processes and tools.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
