Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, and promoting healthy lifestyles through education and counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, disease state management, and patient education.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of medications, including compounding, verification, and labeling.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, including medication regimens and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
