About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in an agile scrum environment to provide support for IT systems
  • Manage IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
  • Patch and harden Linux RedHat OS and work with Security personnel to protect against Cyber Threats
  • This assignment will be an expat assignment for a duration of 6-12 months and require a TS/SCI to start
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of professional experience with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Advanced professional experience with Linux system administration
  • Experience in software practices and configuration management
  • Scripting experience

  • RedHat OS patching/hardening experience
  • RedHat OpenShift

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment
