RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I Job Description

Zurich is seeking a highly skilled RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. As a leading crop insurance provider in the U.S., RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of licensed agents. Our team is dedicated to protecting America's farmers and ranchers, and we're looking for a talented individual to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field inspections and gather information to determine crop damage and potential losses
  • Communicate with farmers and agents to provide excellent customer service and ensure timely claims processing
  • Utilize company software to transmit claims information and ensure accurate and efficient processing
  • Follow regulatory and company rules, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry
  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
  • Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory and outside of assigned area to assist with workload, participate on CAT team, and provide remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims
  • RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
