Position Overview:

Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients with mental health needs.
- Serve as a key resource for clinic staff and medical providers on psychiatric-mental health inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions in the electronic medical records system.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing Nurse Practitioners.
- Facilitate educational sessions to support primary care professionals in managing mental health patients.
- Prepare educational materials for patients and participate in scholarly presentations for staff and trainees.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in nursing or an equivalent level of education and experience qualifying for a Nurse Practitioner License in Texas.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in mental health.
- Current Texas Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses with prescriptive authority.
- Board certification in mental health and DEA registration.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- At least five years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
