Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Manager to join our team at Lancaster County Airport. As a key member of our airport management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the administrative and oversight work in managing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of the airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing the safety and security of the aviation facility
  • Market, plan, and implement Master Plan projects
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, including contractor performance reviews
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including answering technical phone calls and emails, processing invoices, and verifying contract compliance
  • Provide support to the Airport Advisory Committee, including developing meeting agendas, minutes, and notices
  • Review general aviation issues, including accident reports and applicability to Lancaster County
  • Perform general marketing activities to both aviation and non-aviation customers
  • Assist in preparing and processing various documentation, including timesheets, operating expenses, and grant performance reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in planning, public administration, community development, or a related field, supplemented by six to nine years of experience in airport planning and management. You must also meet all certification requirements of FM and SCDOA, have a valid driver's license, and have successfully completed required courses and certification(s) as deemed necessary by Lancaster County. A pilot's license is recommended.
