Mechanic Maintenance Tech Job Description

Worthington Steel Co is seeking a skilled Mechanic Maintenance Tech to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues in a safe and efficient manner throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • 1 year of plant experience.
  • May require CPR and first aid training.
  • Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined space training.
  • Complete knowledge of standard operating procedures.
