Job SummaryAs a TSDF Maintenance Technician - Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. Under the supervision of a lead or supervisor, you will perform repair, maintenance, and installation duties on facilities, treatment plants, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant, facilities, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and plan repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
- Installation and Fabrication: Install new equipment and fixtures, and fabricate metal components as needed.
- Materials Management: Order, receive, and stock parts and maintenance materials to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate files and logs to track maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Housekeeping and Groundskeeping: Perform general housekeeping and groundskeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems, as well as pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and other maintenance functions.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in using hand and shop tools, and instruments to perform maintenance tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
- Prioritization and Time Management: Prioritize tasks, stay focused, and handle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and ensure efficient operation.
- HAZWOPER Training: Possess current 40-hour HAZWOPER training or be able to pass the course upon hire.
