Accounting Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily activities of our corporate accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and business administration, with a proven track record of managing teams and leading financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of the corporate accounting ledger and sub-ledger.
  • Direct general accounting activities, including prepaids, accruals, and corporation allocations.
  • Assist in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management, and/or budget.
  • Review monthly account reconciliations and workbooks prepared by senior and staff accountants.
  • Coordinate preparation of external audit support and materials as required.
  • Establish system controls and develop procedures to improve systems.
  • Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and business process optimization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA, CA, CGA, CMA desired.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • 4-6 years of management experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience with OneStream financial reporting tool.
  • Experience with Infor Syteline or similar ERP.
  • Experience with Sales & Use Tax desired.
  • Experience with DCAA accounting/audits desired.
