We are seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Matrix Pharmacy Group. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately to prepare medications according to prescription specifications.
  • Ensure correct formula preparation and quality assurance guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to confirm formulations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare and package medications, including suspensions, creams, solutions, ointments, capsules, and suppositories.
  • Verify beyond use dates and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures, including random sampling and documentation of results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and maintenance, including capsule machines, counters, and cleaning balances.
  • Assist with training and mentoring of pharmacy technicians.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and educational programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Compounding Pharmacy Technician.
  • State licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
  • High school diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of USP compounding guidelines and state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Yearly training in OSHA, HIPAA, and pharmacy procedures and policies.
