Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our team at the University of Washington. As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and internal and external UW information systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in integration engineering, with experience working with Workday and other enterprise systems. You will be responsible for translating HR/Payroll/Finance requirements into Workday integrations, designing and developing interfaces into and out of Workday, and troubleshooting and documenting integration issues.

This is a hybrid position, working in an open office environment. The University of Washington is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer. Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Workday and internal and external UW information systems
  • Translate HR/Payroll/Finance requirements into Workday integrations
  • Design and develop interfaces into and out of Workday
  • Troubleshoot and document integration issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
  • Four years of experience working on increasingly complex projects
  • Experience with Workday Integrations, Workday Integration Cloud Platform, Integration Cloud Connect, APIs, EIBs, Workday Studio, Business Objects, Calculated Fields, etc.
  • Proficient in REST API, XSLT, Oxygen, MVEL, Soap
  • Data delivery formats (CSV, XML, TXT)
  • Experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors
  • Demonstrated experience in object-oriented design, modeling, development, and support of object/relational database systems and systems documentation
  • Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) and using web services for consuming, testing and delivering data between systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly, in writing and orally, to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated written/oral communication skills, user liaison skills and personal interaction abilities
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and issue resolution within business and technical contexts
  • Experience with Workday Extend, Prism, WQL
  • Experience with MS SQL Server query design, query optimization, troubleshooting, stored procedure development, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL or equivalent database management system
  • Experience with Jira, SharePoint or other enterprise tools for managing work and tracking deliverables
  • Experience in a large university, large medical center, or other large complex enterprise
  • Experience working with an HR / Payroll systems at a technical level
  • Experience representing and/or leading aspects of system development and implementation efforts across a large, decentralized enterprise
  • Experience with Financials Systems like Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, Taleo, or other SaaS and On-Premise ERP systems
  • Experience working with HR / Payroll Systems
  • Familiarity with network protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS), data encryption (PGP, SSL, X.509), and secure connections (user name, password, host, port)
  • Experience gathering requirements from functional experts
  • Experience and knowledge working across unit, functional, integration and acceptance testing phases
  • Experience contributing to and developing many technical deliverables within large-scale enterprise projects
  • Experience designing within a complex data integration environment across multiple platforms, data structures and formats
  • Experience acting as a collaborative and supportive member of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with information security, code management, and data management best practices
  • Advance Security knowledge to configure Integration System Security Group and Integration System User and solve any issue regarding data access
