Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our team at Novant Health. This role will be responsible for identifying clinical practice workflow and process issues and concerns, and providing leadership and guidance to define system and process requirements that will optimize system performance and technology utilization by clinical practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to evaluate current EMR functionality and recommend innovative ideas, processes or procedures for enhancements, additions, modifications to improve existing processes or technology.
  • Serve as a resource for daily operations for any issues related to the electronic health record or associated technologies.
  • Support new technology implementation or upgrades providing onsite support and guidance thereby enhancing end user adoption.
  • Assist with training curriculum and teach as applicable to promote increasing adoption of technology, efficient care flows and clinical practice utilizing best practice use of the electronic medical record and associated technologies.
  • Support complex systemic analysis reviews and regulatory surveys.
  • Develop key performance indicators and analyze data around complex processes, procedures, and outcomes to see continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical healthcare experience, Required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Healthcare Licensure required (RN, LPN, RT, PT, etc), Required. Obtain Epic Clinical Informatics Certification within 6 months of hire, Required. 2 years acute RN experience, Preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to lead meetings. Prioritize multiple responsibilities. Conflict resolution skills. Demonstrates Competency in change readiness for the organization, being flexible as priorities change. Strong organizational skills-Organizes tasks, resources and coordinates activities among multiple disciplines. Effective decision-making skills-Effective analytical, problem solving and diplomacy skills. Travel up to 25 % in NC and SC
