Position Overview:

Role Summary:

If this resonates with you, we are in search of a Food Safety and Quality Supervisor to become an integral part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Food Safety and Quality Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the execution of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) initiatives.
  • Conducting routine inspections and assessments of our production processes, ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and pinpointing areas for enhancement.
  • Leading microbiological testing procedures, including swabbing, to guarantee the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing environments.
  • Addressing non-conformance issues through investigation, root cause analysis, and the application of corrective measures.
  • Reviewing and validating product labels to ensure they meet regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Training and mentoring team members on food safety and quality protocols, ensuring they are equipped to uphold our rigorous standards.
  • Collaborating with various departments to foster continuous improvement in our food safety and quality management systems.

Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable position within the food production industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of FSQA, GMP, microbiological testing, non-conformance management, inspections, and labeling.
  • A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide team members.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey food safety and quality expectations to the team.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various software systems for data management and reporting.
  • A certification in food safety such as HACCP, SQF, or BRC would be advantageous.
