Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist at Ultra Maritime, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfillment of our Quality Policy. This includes complying with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and maintaining an effective Quality Management System. You will work in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that supplied products, processes, and services conform to applicable standards and specifications. Additionally, you will monitor and improve the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Non-Conformance Process Support and Management
2. Liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing and Procurement for material issues
3. Supplier Audits and Action Verification
4. Supplier Continuous Improvement
5. Assist in First Article/First Piece Inspection and Physical Configuration Audits at either UM or the Supplier
6. Coach Suppliers on PFMEA and Control Plan activity.
7. Coordinate all efforts for Non-conforming material, getting inputs from design, manufacturing and supply chain management.
Requirements:
Must have excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Must have excellent understanding in root cause analysis and the ability to lead teams in the use of the data. Must be willing to travel up to 50%. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ERP systems, Minitab and other Quality assurance tools. Must be proficient using GD&T and basic metrology equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.). Experience with electronic components, PCBAs, and/or batteries is preferred.
