Sales Associate Lead

About the Role:
Dollar General is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Lead Sales Associate to join our team. As a Lead Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading the sales floor team, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales floor team and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and facing merchandise.
- Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase.
- Collect payment from customer and make change.
- Assist in maintaining strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures.
- Monitor cash levels and make appropriate drawer pulls as directed by the Store Manager.
- Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
