Job Summary

Brockton Area Multi-Servi is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant to join our Early Intervention team. As an SLPA Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for developmental delay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for infants and young children, working closely with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Advocate for Families during the first 766 evaluation, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition out of the program.
  • Plan and Participate in Specialized Child Groups, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes socialization, learning, and development.
  • Work within an Interdisciplinary Team, providing consultation, training, and supervision to staff members, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to early intervention.
  • Provide Individualized Home Programs to support families in implementing strategies and techniques to promote child development.
  • Maintain Accurate Electronic Health Records, ensuring timely and secure documentation of services provided.
  • Attend Meetings and Trainings as required, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Ensure a Safe and Healthy Environment, adhering to universal/standard precautions and maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Massachusetts License as SLPA required.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to Respond to Emergencies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children and families.
  • Physical Demands include stooping, squatting, sitting, and bending to interact with children, as well as the ability to move quickly to respond to emergencies.
