Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Soliant. As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide assessment, evaluation, and treatment services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities under the supervision of licensed SLPs to address students' communication needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, as outlined in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • Support students' participation in classroom activities by implementing speech and language strategies and facilitating communication skills development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and social development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or equivalent training.
  • Massachusetts state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
