Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a key member of the hotel team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and train housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and approve the work of housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Ensure that all operational and safety procedures are followed, and that the hotel is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management to ensure that guest needs are met and that the hotel runs smoothly.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies to improve guest satisfaction and hotel performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory or management role in housekeeping.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operating Systems experience with Opera preferred.
Physical Demands
  • May need to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Exertion up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to use various equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and buffers.
