Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coating Machine Operator to join our team at Mactac North America. As a key member of our coating department, you will be responsible for assisting with the coating and/or laminating of materials that meet coating run order requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coating and/or laminating of materials that meet coating run order requirements.
  • Perform daily assignments and tasks in the Coating department.
  • Help Level 2 and 3 Coating Operators set up and prepare material for processing.
  • Place rolls of material onto feed spindles of machines.
  • Thread ends through feeds and guide materials into coating heads or through drying ovens and attach them to rewind spindles.
  • Fill coating heads with coating solutions.
  • Monitor and adjust coating lines.
  • Report any non-conformities as materials are processed.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and PMs.
  • Clean work areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and flammable materials. The employee may be required to wear a respirator. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
