We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic testing and examinations to assess patients with breathing-related conditions.
- Consult with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Perform physiotherapy and other treatments, and educate patients on medication use.
- Monitor and record patient condition, and communicate with healthcare team as needed.
- Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures to ensure best practices and patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
- Educate patients and families about illnesses and provide information on community resources.
- Manage respiratory care supplies and equipment, and perform maintenance and calibration tasks.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current and active Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Tennessee.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP).
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time position with a night shift schedule, requiring 10+ hours of work per shift and rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
